Humans as "rabbits" for experiments. Knowledge is like a light capable of illuminating the universe and providing a profound understanding of something. In fact, it becomes a guide to the truth. If kn
The poem reads like someone trying to put words to a feeling that’s been bothering them for a long time. The repetition rabbits but not rabbits sounds almost like the writer is circling the idea, trying to get closer without losing their nerve. What comes through is a very human discomfort with the way people can be treated as objects when power, money, or ambition take over. The poem isn’t making a literal claim; it’s wrestling with the fear of being reduced, used, or overlooked. There’s a tiredness in the lines about old stories repeating themselves, as if the speaker has seen this pattern too many times to be surprised anymore. And yet, the tone isn’t accusatory it feels more like someone thinking out loud, trying to understand why this image of humans as “rabbits” feels so unsettling. The ending softens everything: the writer admits this is just an instinctive attempt to turn a troubling idea into a poem, not a judgment on anyone. It’s messy, uneasy, and very human.
You have captured the poem's meaning through your written expression, creating a distinct meaning with a more intelligent and humane approach.
While poetry tends to be perceived as messy and fractured, it is naturally an illusion of free understanding, yet it maintains the truth of the compelling impression you have expressed. I truly appreciate your insight in providing such a deep and detailed review. Have a wonderful day.
JYBYKY, I have hesitated to write this because I try to be positive about creativity and supportive of all who are willing to be open and take the risk of public judgment, as are you. In this case, my view is that this contribution fails.
Certainly it is not poetry and represents an unfortunate expression of positive and negative.
I agree that our world now appears to be and perhaps even is under the control of those whose prime, if not only motivation is avarice and the worship of money and power. These people are not only the very wealthy but often the average John and Jane Doe, who have absorbed the socialisation and indoctrination of a false notion of what constitutes 'success' in life. Almost to a one they confuse living with life, bauble and beads with natural wonder and beauty.
However, although there have been those who have perverted science in promotion of their own misguided, often obscene and certainly uncaring notions and desires, science has given humanity - and through it non-human animals, too - as much as creativity, wonder and health as has art.
Unfortunately, there have always been and probably always will be human beings who appear to be without conscience, any sound morality and with only self-interest and distorted ideologies or belief systems that don't allow for real understanding, context, critical thinking or appreciation of all being a composition of both positive and negative. Neither, it seems, are they even remotely capable of appreciating the philosophical dilemmas that arise in situations where there are multiple dangers but only the availability of limited resources, information, knowledge, capacity or capability, such that mitigation of harm is the best that can be achieved and whatever choice is made cannot avoid an inevitable negative result for some.
Ill conceived pieces such as this are more likely to exacerbate the very human conundrums that their existence suggests they are intended to oppose or at least highlight, despite the reality that they are often presented with the best of intentions. Ignorance is not the absence of knowledge, it is failure to recognise its limitations or presentation as a simplistic and general tenet, when it actually is only a part of a much larger and complex issue.
Expression is a power born from all individuals who possess the interests, talents, and courage to explore their instincts in various forms, presented to the public and shared in a limited manner.
However, it's important to remember the importance of utilizing something positively, in any form, so that it has an increasingly positive effect on the environment and those around them.
Everyone has the right to understand something according to their own mindset and to imagine it as they wish, without exception. In fact, understanding knowledge, writings, articles, poems, events, and thoughts can be done freely according to one's insight, experience, and life mission, thus resulting in an understanding of something.
The priority should be that truth remains truth under any circumstances; good and bad are merely relative to one's perspective. Your review and presence are greatly appreciated. Have a wonderful day.

It's a brutal world sometimes and often, needlessly. Great poem.
I respect your review, I hope we all understand the reality of what happened. Your beautiful day.
